Flat Classroom Project

Building bridges for the future through collaborative projects

Hi Everyone!
As part of my investigation for this project I was asked to conduct a survey or questionnaire based on the project itself. I was wondering if you could answer a few really simple questions for me. It would be really appreciated! Thanks!

1. What do you know about Google? (Anything!)
2. How often do you use any of Google’s various online programs?
3. What would you like to know about Google?
4. How do you think Google will develop in the future?
5. How do you hope Google will develop in the future?
6. What do you know about Citizen Journalism?

1. Google is a popular website. Its a search engine, providing email service, image search, it has a feature like mapquest(with satellite images), video search, book searches... Similar to Yahoo.com
2. Daily/ Maybe even hourly
3. There seems to be quite a few applications that I do not hear about such as google chat and google documents, so I would like to know where these applications are placed and how you can access them, for the other applications other than the web search to become more obvious, or well known
4. Become a place where the profit creating more devices, maybe even starting into electronics. But basically take up more of the internet where you can use more applications which are efficient so that you don't need to browse so many other websites
5. I just use one or two applications so I wouldn't know, but I believe if it had movie searches showing the top things in today and other things that would make it more popular like daily news from google
6. That if an event has happened people mark it and write about it then send it to people, so professionals don't have to go secondhand or wait for something to happen. But this affects the effectivity and the jobs of the professional journalist today because they get less available jobs. I am not sure about question 6 but that is what I think it means.

1. Google is a company that started its roots in a search engine site, the self-named Google (TM) search engine. From there they expanded, putting in a translator engine, starting up a maps and directions system, an email client, etc etc etc. They're currently one of the big names in Monopolies, as the amount of money they make from professional sales has Sergey Brin and Larry Page as two of the richest people on this earth.
2. I use them daily, I use Gmail, Google Wave, Google search, Google image search, Google Maps, Google Earth, Google Chrome occasionally, Google Chrome Frame for when I'm stuck with Internet explorer, and so on.
3. I'd like to know how I can get hired there, the company is still rising up in stocks despite the crappy economy.
4. I know they're working on a non-mobile Operating System to complement Android. I believe they're stepping up to the big leagues (Microsoft, Apple, etc) and trying to beat them out at what they do best. Google currently employs so many big-name programmers and innovators of Internet and Computer technology, that it seems like they're aiming for the moon in terms of goals.
5. I don't.
6. It's blogging about news events from an "average joe" perspective.
