Overview: Learning analytics is the use of data and models to predict student progress and performance, the ability to act on that information, and the interpretation of data that is collected by students to make progress in academics. The main goal of learning analytics is to make teachers and schools able to provide custom education for students. Custom education is good especially for new, more technology friendly schools because it allows special attention to everybody in the class. Even if the child is disabled mentally custom education allows for a more flexible schedule for both teachers and students. Examples of custom education is the use of iPads, tablets, cellular devices, smart boards, laptops, etc. In my specific sub topics D.3 (Scrutiny) and D.4 (Integrity) I learned many things. Scrutiny is becoming more technology aware and uses resources such as Diigo and online textbooks to make students and teachers lives more easier. Scrutiny is all about making sure information is accurate and detailed making it easier for research and looking up information. While Integrity is using technology in the classroom appropriately and wisely. I feel both topics were interesting but the most surprising information and interesting I learned from these topics was that more teachers are allowing more technology in the classroom and that schools are now setting standards and code of ethics for the use of technology. Both which I think I great ideas and will really modernize schools but I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not yet.

Wiki Editing: In my personal opinion I felt the wiki editing process would have been more easier if my group contributed more. Also considering that my group members are strangers living in different parts of the country possibly the world it was very frustrating trying to contact them let alone get them to do work. Also I feel giving one group two completely different sub-topics was unfair while  many other groups only had to concern themselves with one. I feel working with different people can be a great experience but this time I did not have much enjoyment in it. If my group were to work more collaboritely the wiki itself would have been much better. Also considering that my group didn't do much and I was using my own personal opinions to make the wiki my group didn't have any citations/ cites that was needed.

Outsource Video: 3A.  I created a Google Docs outsource video using classmates and none other than Google Docs. It is a 10- 20 second clip and my actors are collaborating on Google Docs for a project. The person who requested the video I feel made the video easy enough for anybody, anywhere to do. Surpringly SawyerM_SVHS did use the video even though I personally felt it was too good to be true when I found it. Hopefully she liked the video enough to feel as if it really, truly belonged in her movie and not that she had to put it in her movie. SawyerM_SVHS video

3B. Everything I asked for in my outsource video was used and the person who did it did an amazing job. I used the outsource clip because it fit my requirements and needs and it worked nicely with my overall idea for the movie. However I feel the outsource video should have been more of an extra credit part of the video rather than a necessary point because it is very difficult to put your trust in sommebody you don't know let alone trust them with your grades. I was very lucky. Outsource Clip for my Movie

Final Video: My intial idea for the video was to have a series of interviews with different people with their views on technologyu in the classroom. But with time restraints I changed it into a digital citizenship for students know how/ guide and both sides to the technology in schools argument. I believe my video is well put to together considering I had to restart it all over again because it mysteriously disappared from both the desktop and movies file. Obviously doing my video over again from what I already had I have to say I'm a little bit disappointed in it but I feel it portrays its message very well and flows well. I feel the audio is very good but I would have liked a little bit more time to add more sounds and music to the background, even an audio recording of myself would have helped my video shine even more. One thing I could have done to have a better movie is to have added a narration of myself explaining digital citizenship more. I know it would have shown a lot of effort and time put into my movie that I'm sure would be greatly appreciated by the judges. I believe that MattG_AAHS http://flatclassroomproject.ning.com/video/game-based-learning-in-t... video is well put together and looks amazing. Being that I am not so good with technology I appreciate Matt's effort with the animations and music. I am surprised he had any time to make such a good video because he spent a great deal of time in class helping other people's movies. Also AndreiG_SVHS http://flatclassroomproject.ning.com/video/custom-learning-for-the-... did a very nice  job as well. It was a good balance of animations, music, narration, video clips, etc.

Summary: Overall I know these are going to be one of the few projects I will not look back fondly on. Although some parts were fun and exciting like getting to work with other people from around the world and creating my very own movie. Most of the time I was stressed, nervous, and anxious to do well on this project all the while dealing with lazy group members, various other school assignments, and disappearing imovies. I suggest to future NetGenEd users is to start early and make sure your group is helping out. Also I suggest to the NetGenEd providers and teachers is to come up with a way that will limit lazy group members by devising a way to develop a system that all work is divided up evenly and the group on a whole is not pinned down because of one member.
