Students - We are now finished with two weeks of standardized testing and starting our last 6 Weeks of the Webmastering Course.

You must get your video completed by Wednesday, May 1. Your work must be uploaded and posted to the Flast Classroom Project/NetGenED Ning.

NetgenEd/ Flat Classroom Project

Tasks and Directions for Today

What are we using?: NetGenEd Wiki and NING Group

 

For today you must do the following:

 

  1. Read the NING and our Group NING for our Class for Directions and Tasks

  2. Wiki Help Menu - Read and Review Wiki Help - how to use wiki

  3. NetGenEd Wiki - add your Username and URL link to your NING profile to your topic wiki in team/student section at bottom of wiki.

  4. NetGenEd Wiki - write (1) entry on the Discussion Tab of what you did and contributions towards research on the topic wiki use your USERname

  5. Diigo Bookmark - Create (1) DIIGO bookmarkrelated to your topic and sharing on the NetGenEd Diigo Group - see if you can find your team members on Diigo

  6. NetGenEd Wiki - read the discussion tab; reply appropriately as necessary to Team discussion towards topic research.

  7. Research Topic - Gather information weblinks, images, videos for your topic save them on Google Drive as a document (ALL research work must go on Google Doc). Make sure to bookmark with Diigo and cite/reference with easybib.com

  8. Communication with Team Members - Continue with communication with Manager/Assistant manager

  9. Wiki Contributions - Tomorrow we will begin add contributions to topic wikis.

 

In Summary - Tasks to Complete Today!

A. Add username to topic wiki

B. Read and write (1) entry on Discussion Tab of your topic wiki.

C. 1 - Diigo Bookmark (NetGenEd Diigo Group)

D. Research Topic

E. Communicate with Team Members and Managers

NING – Contact Virtual team Members and friend them – introduce your self!

  1. Diigo - You must read and review your topic page carefully.
  2. Begin research on your topic and bookmark using Diigo
  3. Write in your own words a 2-paragraph summary; gather images and videos (will need a reference/bibliography) use easybib http://www.easybib.com/ (for citations of research)

Webmasters To-Do (March 4th)

  1. Remember to demonstrate proper netiquette and professionalism on Project+ Post only appropriate content.
  2. Get Topic/ Contact Other Virtual Students (friend them)
  3. Research Phase of Project - Start Research on Topic (Save on Diigo) - Make sure you join Diigo Group use your student NetGenEd ID (see Miles for help)
  4. Review your Assigned Topic on Horizon Report 2012
  5. Find news articles and images for your topic
  6. Briefly summarize findings in a Google Doc
  7. Create 4 photocollages of your topic - to use later for video
  8. Bookmark - netgened2013.flatclassroomproject.org (DO NOT join page just yet)
  9. Review how to use wiki (read and use help pages) - see Jamie for help
  10. On wiki find your topic wiki page (MOOC/E-Learning; Tablet Computing; Gamification; Learning Analytics, 3D Printing; Wearables/Wearable Technology)
  11. Example - read and review what to do????
