I would rather work for a newspaper, but currently my career is slightly hazy :P
North Korea is always a popular choice among the group at my school, as well. The debates sure do get pretty heated.
Thanks for the advice. :) Journalism sounds like a fascinating thing to pursue. Are you thinking of any specific field within journalism? Investigative reporting, working at a newspaper, etc? My career plans are all over the place; too many interests and no one job that pulls them all together. Possibly law, economics, or architecture. (They're such clichéd choices, aren't they?)
So the councils that deal with war get the most interesting topics? I'll keep that in mind. Do you have many real life rivals? Just the other kids who are really good, right? ;) I probably won't get to attend any conferences in South East Asia because I'm a beginner and I live in Canada. I'll likely only be attending conferences within the country or perhaps in the United States.
You seem really experienced and dedicated to MUN. Is political science something that you're planning on pursuing in the future as a career?
What are the conferences like? What's the most interesting topic you've discussed? Last year must have been especially interesting with all of the things happening in the Middle East. This is my first year participating in MUN and I'm sadly unable to go to the upcoming conference because it's on the same day as a debate tournament. I'm definitely looking forward to the next few, though! :)
Does MUN refer to Model UN? If so, it's great to meet someone else who's into world issues. I'm doing MUN at my school for the first time this year. Can you share something about your experiences?
