I would rather work for a newspaper, but currently my career is slightly hazy :P

North Korea is always a popular choice among the group at my school, as well. The debates sure do get pretty heated.

Thanks for the advice. :) Journalism sounds like a fascinating thing to pursue. Are you thinking of any specific field within journalism? Investigative reporting, working at a newspaper, etc? My career plans are all over the place; too many interests and no one job that pulls them all together. Possibly law, economics, or architecture. (They're such clichéd choices, aren't they?)

Usually, but sometimes if you get a contraversial country like north korea and your talking about human rights, then it can be interesting as well :D Erm, I have about one or two "rivals" but it's just on the debate floor, in real life we're pretty good friends and yes it's kids who are good or better :)

I really love MUN and yes I try my best to stay dedicated with it as you can meet new people, broaden your horizons and learn much about our facisnating yet terrifying world, stick with MUN in the long run you'll love it plus it looks great on a CV or resume. Well, Journalism would be a course I would pursue but I might plan to minor in either political science, economics or physcology it all depends really. What about you? Career plans?

So the councils that deal with war get the most interesting topics? I'll keep that in mind. Do you have many real life rivals? Just the other kids who are really good, right? ;) I probably won't get to attend any conferences in South East Asia because I'm a beginner and I live in Canada. I'll likely only be attending conferences within the country or perhaps in the United States.

You seem really experienced and dedicated to MUN. Is political science something that you're planning on pursuing in the future as a career?

Erm, the conferences are pretty good but it depends on which council you are in if you are in DISEC (Disarmement Council) or SC (Security Council) the debates are pretty interesting There's usually about 30-40 people in a commitee . My most interesting topic was when I represented North Korea and I was moved from DISEC to Security Council to discuss their emergency topic, "The War Between North and South Korea over in PPL line" that was a pretty fiery debate as me and the delegate of South Korea were rivals in real life. Plus I am wondering do you attend any international conferences in South East Asia

What are the conferences like? What's the most interesting topic you've discussed? Last year must have been especially interesting with all of the things happening in the Middle East. This is my first year participating in MUN and I'm sadly unable to go to the upcoming conference because it's on the same day as a debate tournament. I'm definitely looking forward to the next few, though! :)

Hey Fei. Yes MUN does refer to Model UN. I've attended about 5 conferences within my time at MUN. All the conferences have been held in Malaysia but planning to attended a few in Singapore and Bangkok. I also aspire to be a chair or co chair for my next local conference :D What about u? Can you share any of yours?

Does MUN refer to Model UN? If so, it's great to meet someone else who's into world issues. I'm doing MUN at my school for the first time this year. Can you share something about your experiences?
