About Me:
My name is Emma. I just turned 15, and i live in Hopkinton with my mom, dad, brother, and sister. My brother is 17 and my sister is 13. I have only lived in Hopkinton for a year; we moved here from The Berkshires last August. I have had an awesome childhood. I have moved a few times, but all the places I have moved to, have been great! I was born in New Jersey and from there moved to different places in Massachusetts. My favorite vacation I went on was with my family a year ago, when we went to Key West, Florida. It is now my favorite place to visit. Some of my most important friendships are with my sister Charlotte, and my two best friends Avia and Jill. Last year Avia lived with me for a few months, and attended HHS. Outside of school, i ride horses and run track. I have two horses at my house right now. I have always wanted to do something with horses when i get older, but now i think i want to be involved with criminal justice, or hostage negotiation. My greatest accomplishment was making it to finals for three years in a row with my horse, and making it to nationals last year with my riding team. Riding is probably my greatest skill, I have been doing it since i was five, so i hope by now im pretty good.

Pink Video Reaction

Posted on October 14, 2009 at 11:28am 1 Comment

I actually really enjoyed the Pink video, i thought it was really interesting and i learned things that before i didn't care about at all. Some of the main points he made in this video were about the six important words; Design, Story, Symphony, Empathy, Play, Meaning. Another important thing he talked about was how ROUTINE IS GONE! Lastly he talked about the two different sides of the brain, and how everyone is starting to use the left side of their brain instead of the right. It was easy to… Continue

BONK REACTION

Posted on October 14, 2009 at 11:21am 0 Comments

I thought the "Bonk" video was funny, but very fast. I stayed very focused on it because i was trying to figure out what he was talking about. It was very good information, and made the situation less strict. It also it was ironic that he was using SO much paper because he was talking about the internet. I thought it was funny how it seemed he was referring to himself as the computer, and how they have SO much information, and it may take you more then once to fully understand the information… Continue

Reaction to Freidman video

Posted on October 7, 2009 at 1:07pm 0 Comments

I thought that Friedman was a very good public speaker. He was funny, but also very informative. He kept the audience very focused and didn't make anything boring. It is weird to think about how much the world has changed, compared to how it was before be were born. It was very interesting how he decided to write a book, and i loved all the stories he told about being a reporter and all the things that contributed to writing "The World is Flat". The video gave me a better understanding of what… Continue
