About Me:

A native Houstonian, I received both my Bachelor and Master Degrees in Business Administration from LeTourneau University. I have 18 years experience training and managing various Sales and Marketing teams. I also possess a solid knowledge of computer software/hardware. My desire is to instruct Secondary students on the 'ins and outs' of achieving success in business--so, several years ago I left my management position to teach. My goal is to take all that I have gleaned from Corporate America and use that knowledge to enhance the learning experience of my students and to prepare them for success in both college and career.

I teach Business and Marketing Education and sponsor for Junior Achievement and Business Professionals of America.

My Reflections as of October 31

It's been a very busy several weeks working on the Project. The learning curve hasn't been a 'big' as I first thought it would be, but I must admit that I have had a little difficulty remembering everything that I need to do as a teacher to help students be successful in the Project.

One of the things I learned was that majority of the social entrepreneurs are non profit organizers and does everything in their power to help resolve the social conflicts within their society. I have also learned that facebook, and myspace or social networking sites such as Flat Classroom NING. Gives social entreprenuers the voice and a tool to work in their advantage to help their society. One thing that interested me was the fact that social entreprenuership is connected with all of us the internet users by blogging and just communicating with one another for just a chat or to give advise ect. And another thing how we are social entreprenuers lighter fuel to heat up and spread the social entreprenuers ambition and innovation to the WORLD!!!!

2)Wiki Editing Process: The strenght of the wiki editing was the ability to edit others information to make the information more helpful and jucier, but also with a bond of trust nobody will steal ones idea or paragraph. The weakness of the wiki editing was definately the fact that sometimes the information or a certain project may be deleted not purposly of cource but a mere accident. Overall our group i think did a wonderful job of giving cite sources. I was definately happy with my wiki because the team work involved in it.

3a)The out source video that I created was about wireless connectivity in our society. The directionas were clear but unfortunately my out source video was not in the final video. I think because the other out source video seems to be far more superior. HAHA

3b) I requested a out source video about a truck company owner looking for 3 truck drivers whom are able to workfor his company. My outsource video has not picked up by anybody, i think mainly because my directions were alittle complicated but my fellow classmates and i have made a outsoure video

4)My intial pitch was to do a interview, a video taped interview over the web cam with the other student but since the outsource request was not being picked up. I changed it to video clips that way i can link the viedo later on but the out sourece request stilkl did not get licked up. So my fellow classmates have created a outsource video for me. The quality of the video i have done everything i can to critique it the voice setting and the image. The audio turned out to ok but the video quality was alittle pixalated. What could i have done to make a better movie?..Use better actors..HAHAHA no but seriously i think i should write a script of how things will be going on and what is going to be said.
I think this is one of the best video in the Flat Classroom Project. >>Is by PatrickH. Who is in my group 8.C Video the video has informational images and the song is just perfect
