Union_Hett GM Scale.docxHello Mr. Neiffer,
I'm Craig Union, the administrator and lead researcher for the Flat Classroom project. Your class has been chosen to provide voluntary information to support the research. This note is to request permission from you to collect research data from your students. The research topic is Using Web 2.0 to help students in high school overcome ethnocentrism: A cross-cultural case study. The research will consist of the students taking the attached E. Jane Hett's Global-Mindedness survey within the next week. Towards the end of the project in November, I would like to give the survey again along with a short 10 question interview. I'll also observe the students as they finalize their wiki projects from the Houston classroom location. Again, all of this voluntary and if any student does not want to participate, the plan is for them to continue with project with no remorse or penalty.

If you have any questions or concerns for me, please respond. I'm looking forward to working with you and hope all is well in Houston!

Craig

PS Further information concerning the research is on the Wiki page under the Researcher's tab.
