I'm Craig Union, the administrator and lead researcher for the Flat Classroom project. Your class has been chosen to provide voluntary information to support the research. This note is to request permission from you to collect research data from your students. The research topic is Using Web 2.0 to help students in high school overcome ethnocentrism: A cross-cultural case study. The research will consist of the students taking the attached E. Jane Hett's Global-Mindedness survey within the next week. Towards the end of the project in November, I would like to give the survey again along with a short 10 question interview. I'll also observe the students as they finalize their wiki projects from the classroom in Houston. Again, all of this voluntary and if any student does not want to participate, the plan is for them to continue with project with no remorse or penalty.
If you have any questions or concerns for me, please respond. I'm looking forward to working with you and hope all is well in Doha!
Craig
PS Further information is on the Wiki page under the Researcher's tab.

Actually, I am known to go wherever and whenever I am fortunate enough to be a guest. However, I assumed planning for Doha was a bit premature.
Keep me in the loop.
