At first, people were relying on the PC-based system. However, as time progressed, people adapted to the Internet- based system, which allowed more people to use the World Wide Web system.
The purpose of the World Wide Web was to retrieve documents or Web pages from Internet sites and to create a system for linking, creating and organizing documents so it can be easily browsed later. Tim Burners Lee put up the first web site so that he and all his other scientists can put up his work…

Thanks for the help!

Jesse Hinman said… woops forget to add my other topic here it is:
Health and Science:
Scientist can share their info very quickly now. If you are going to research a topic in science that you are going to do an experiment on you can go online. You can see if the experiment has already been done or if it cannot be done at all. If it is possible you can post it on a blog and find out a lot of info from other scientists. If your child is sick or hurting you can look up their symptoms on a health site and see what is up. If you find out you can order a prescription online if you don’t feel comfortable leaving the child. Also you can look up the health of your nearby environment and you can find out how to help your local area. Also you can volunteer online to help on a certain day in the local nature preserve.
Jesse Hinman said… Oh i also have another topic that i have done research on.
Arts and entertainment:
All ages can use the web for entertainment. Younger kids use the web for finding games and going onto social networks. This does not mean that older people can’t have fun on the internet there are online sports reviews, sites for watching videos, and many others. Also people have influenced art with this. We can buy artwork and view it online, you can order things from shipping sites, and you can go to blogs and talk about important topic. For leisure you can read books, use a site that helps you relax or just have fun with the games I mentioned earlier. Overall the internet is very good for all form of entertainment.

Government:

People have a lot more they can do on the internet with the government. We can file tax returns apply for new drivers license and do so much more online. We have been able to do an increasing amount of services online. As this increases people want the government to be an open government. This is where the government will post all of their info on a site that everyone can have access to. A lot of people in the world say that this will help because people can review this and talk about the governments actions and change it if needed. Also this forces some institutions to be more truthful because they have to post their info to the web. As we grow in this concept most people feel that the government will help the people more.

Jesse Hinman said… yea i got my draft now so i can update it here. i also have some news on the topic
Flattener #2:
the world wide web:
When the Sputnik was launched during the cold War the U.S. was scared. To counter this threat they made ARPA to get an edge on the Soviet’s satellite. To get help on the topic ARPA enlisted the help of a company called BBM. They connected 4 computer softwares to form ARPANET. They started looking into connecting it to the radio network. When they joined up in 1979 they joined the Satellite Network too. They called the connecting of systems the internet. The internet has been growing ever since. It has grown worldwide and included more programs. Nowadays you can access any info that you want on the internet and actually do something with it. It keeps expanding to do more things and expands further and the possibilities are endless as the capabilities increase. Thus as it widens more people can access somebody from across the world. As people can access each other from across the world it flattens because everyone has the same opportunities as someone who is somewhere else.
News
Clinton has declared a free internet policy. Many countries will probably not listen considering that on the other side we are yelling at Wiki leaks for leaking our information all over the world.
