MOOCS and Speed

"Your video is done well technically, sound and visuals. The idea of speed is central to your presentation. As a viewer, I did not see how you were supporting the speed aspect of MOOCs. In what way is learning faster, for example? What part of MOOCs…"

What Are MOOCs?

"You clearly have supported the title of this presentation in defining and giving examples throughout. Your speaking voice was clear and the pace of the video was slow but effective for your intended message. Good citations for all materials used.…"

MOOCs Customization

"Your use of a Prezi set to music brings forth lots of basic facts about MOOCs including choice, working in your own environment, customizing backgrounds, adding a photo, and participating when you want. A viewer might want to know about the…"

"You have good production quality and audio – nicely done technically. You portray MOOCs as fun and something that will make classes less boring, bit the viewer doesn’t really see any evidence of your assertion. What makes a MOOC more fun…"

"Your tone of the video is a positive one, that technology is indeed changing lives in good ways. Freedom is certainly a feature of MOOCs since most of the activity is done on a student’s own time (but there are deadlines in MOOCs). Is the…"

MOOCS Bassett

"Thanks for the effort on this. I was wondering if you distinguish between online classes and MOOCs? Are they the same thing? You used the word interactive in regard to MOOCs, so the viewer might want an explanation of this – would…"

MOOCs-Custimization

"The video went blank after the first minute or so. I think the viewer will wonder why you say MOOCs are the future of education. Are there examples of how MOOCs are effective for learning? "

Terry, I just want you to notice what you've done with the judging. The fact you leave comments on these student videos gives very important feedback. It tells the students that people notice. I helps them know that what they do matter. Well, Terry, you matter. What you're doing matters very much, thank you. You are doing a great job judging!
