At first, I was offended by the cynical statements about the Net Generation that Don Tapscott was saying, because first of all, they weren't true. There was no backup to the ridiculously stereotypical views he was saying. Some of them didn't even make sense. However, once Don Tapscott said that these are the views of many critics, and that he didn't agree with them, I stopped being offended. He agreed that they have no basis on fact or research. Eight Net Gen Norms and Interview Reaction

I thought the Eight Net Gen Norms and Don Tapscott's interview videos were very enlightening. However, it felt strange to be generalized along with everyone else in my generation and to be given eight norms which we are expected to have. The eight norms were, in my opinion, pretty accurate in describing my generation.
