My thoughts on this project are very varied. I thought that this project was very cool. I also do believe that the project did not completely succeed in the collaboration. Most people did collaborate but there were some people that were not fully taking part in the project with their group members. During the Net Gen Ed project I had pick to be in a group of mobile apps, after reading the section on mobile apps I realized that I just wasn’t in to do the topic. The online interaction excelled during this project with fast and effective collaboration. My video consisted of students from the all over the US, and students from South Korea. In doing this video I saw how important global connection is and how easy it can be! With the video being high quality and still being over the world and staying in high quality! I loved it. I think that there should have only been one website because it made it very confusing and that everyone was on at one time because I had no idea who was in my group. I only got help from one person and that was my project manager. I never even found out who my partner were because the wiki was very confusing and I had a hard time with it. Next year they should just have the ning and instead of the wiki we should use skipe.

There seemed to be minimal communication and online interaction during the Flat Classroom Project between students. However, in my class there were a lot of interaction between students, and students and teachers regarding the project. From what I’ve seen on the ning students do interact with each other but not nearly as much as students to in a normal classroom. The online interaction within the flat classroom project was minimal which I did not find to be ideal. Online Interaction was definitly a problem with the project as a whole. I think I talked to the people in my group maybe once via my page, but otherwise it was mostly isolated. This could be solved by making it mandatory that you have to have a weekly update on how far you are on your project to your other group members.

I feel like the online interaction can be effective if it is used correctly.  Using communication especially online is a very great method but it must be done to get other tasks done. Using other people for other activities is very helpful and I had trouble with my video because I was trying to get my group members to send me videos of themselves explaining game based learning a little bit and never heard back. During the summit yesterday, it seemed many student had learned a lot about their topic through the research and wiki participation. I loved discussing what I learned and hearing about the different areas of growth students had excelled in. Overall, the summit enlightened my perspective on how much different people learn and the different paces of growth possible.

For my summit expierence, I thought it went well. I had a fantastic time getting to hear about other people's ideas. I wish to continue my research on tablet computing, It was a great expierence

Talking to another school about the project was really cool. I am glad I got to hear what some members of my group thought about the work, and how we all collaborated with eachother. I think that this was also a great opportunity to let the teachers know what worked for us, and what can be improved for people working on it next year. I sadly wasn't able to participate in the summit, because of AP testing. However, from what I hear from my classmates it sounds like it was fairly succesful. I wish I had been able to talk to people that were working on the project somewhere else to figure out if they felt like it was succesful and if they would liek to do it again.

I think that this was a wonderful experience. It was nice to try and collaborate with people from all over the place. Everything was so difficult, and yet I overcame it.

The summit was really interesting. I didn't know what to expect from the other school. They did a wonderful job explaining what they did and what they learned. We all ended up agreeing that we needed to collaborate more with our group in order to get things done.
