Flat Classroom Project

Building bridges for the future through collaborative projects

Hey I'm Kathryn. I am in the tenth grade at Westwood in Georgia. Below is a video I made about myself and the things I enjoy. I like to watch movies, hang out with friends, go to church, and play sports. My favorite sports to play are basketball and tennis. I also like playing and watching football. I am obsessed with watching Georgia football. If you want to know anything else, you can comment me.

Mrs. Vicki had us read an excerpt from The World is Flat, a book about how technology is connecting the world. The author of the book is Thomas L. Friedman. He believes that technology is taking over the jobs in America and that students who learn about computers will get all the good jobs in the future. Another thing that Friedman believes in are the collaborative projects that our school does with other schools all over the world. He says that "people skills will become more valuable than computer skills." Basically, he believes that people who can communicate with other people and use technology effectively will become the people who are successful in the future.
