I'm a 16 year old junior at Valley High School in West Des Moines. I'm one of the few bowlers that Valley has. I've been bowling since I was 1 and now I bowled the first 300 game in Valley history, and I also hold the highest 2 game series, 515, in Valley history. I currently have bowled three 300 games and two 800 series'. My most recent 300 game and 800 series were September 8^th, 2012 in Waterloo at Cadillac Lanes. Bowling is one of the sports I will be doing for the rest of my life.

West Des Moines is a suburb of Des Moines, voted best place to raise a family in the US. I’ve lived in West Des Moines for 11 years, and prior to living in WDM, I lived in Windsor Heights, another suburb of Des Moines. Des Moines is a crowded town, but you eventually settle in and realize that it isn’t as bad as it could be. I love West Des Moines, but I’m getting tired of the cold weather in the winter. Des Moines doesn’t have any major league sports, mostly minor. West Des Moines has a population of 57,909 people as of July 2011 and is increasing along with its land size. West Des Moines is one of those growing cities that warms people’s hearts, but it hasn’t warmed mine yet.

Occasionally I will go to tournaments in Davenport, Cedar Rapids, and the Quad Cities. I have gone to Indianapolis for Junior Gold, which is Junior Team USA trials.

Yes, I bowl for my high school team, we aren't the best, but we are still in the top 30 in the state. I made it to State for high school and finished 9th, which is the highest anyone at my school has gotten. Can't you ask your high school to create a bowling team?
