Flat Classroom Project

Building bridges for the future through collaborative projects

Assignment for WHS-B Students for March 26, 2012

I plan to be back with you tomorrow, in the meantime, make sure you've edited your wiki from last week. If you are lost, you should be answering the questions that are given to you on the wiki to help you determine what you should be thinking about. This is NOT a project you can google or find on wikipedia. You must read and you must think! You can do this.

Today:

Watch the video at: http://flatclassroomproject.ning.com/video/we-our-digital-selves-an...

Required work: Answer the following four questions in response to the video on the Ning. (link above) If you don’t know what a word means, look it up. Each question should have a good 8-10 sentence answer.

Guiding Questions

  1. Is there a clear demarcation between who you are online and elsewhere?
  2. What parts of you are people missing out on if they do not interact with the online you?
  3. Why (or why not) should you manage your own personal cyber infrastructure? What does this mean to you?
  4. Who are we in this space where the online world is not something distinctly separate?

Time Permitting: Continue to work on your wiki. Respond to partners who have left you messages. If you have time, you may start storyboarding your video. The storyboard forms are on the bookshelf in the black plastic magazine holder.
