Another one of the tasks that we had to do this week was read the
Wiki Summary on "The World is Flat" by Thomas Friedman. We were each assigned a chapter to summarize (yeah, I know, summarize a summary...), and mine was
Chapter Three: The Triple Convergence. It was a bit confusing at first, and because I'm not used to working with summaries but instead the text itself, I didn't really know how to get started.
However, last night I read and re-read and re-read the text (it was only a few lines, thank God). After a while, I got the hang of it and decided what I wanted to put in my presentation. At first, I chose to make a PowerPoint, but soon realized that I would most probably have quite a bit of difficulty uploading it, especially to the Ning. I instead decided to make the PowerPoint, and then do print screens of it. I then cropped the print screens and put them, as well as music, together in Window's Movie Maker to create an video. The video took a while to upload, but it's finally here. It can be seen on the
Flat Classroom Ning, but I've also embedded it below :). Enjoy!
