During the Net Gen Ed project I had pick to be in a group of mobile apps, after reading the section on mobile apps I realized that I just wasn’t in to do the topic. After reading about every subject that there was to chose from I came to realized that I wanted to do research and my project on gesture-based computing. After everything was said and done with what groups we were in, I saw that a lot of people got confused on what they were being asked to do. Luckily for me I had a background on the ning and wiki; I was part of the flat classroom project back in October. There are many different problems that came with that project as a whole. I don’t know how other people made out with this but I had trouble getting in touch with my team mates, I don’t think I am even friends with the one girl that was part of my group. I had two other girls in my group besides me; the one girl and I were the only ones who were posting on the wiki for the information. Overall this project should be something that every kid should at least experience this project once in their school career. There were a lot of people in my class who didn’t care about and they thought that it was just a joke and didn’t do much of anything but there were other people who worked so hard, and they both got about the same amount of credit. Something I would change on my part is that I would do my research earlier and not wait till the last minute to start my video. Even though I started last minute I got the project done, but it was not the best work I could or have done. I think if I started it earlier and put more time in it, there would be a better outcome to my video.  There were other classmates of mine that I feel went through the same thing as I did. There was definitely enough time to do all the research and the video, the last minute part fell on me and that is what I would change if I ever had to the chance to do this project again I would manage my time a lot more then I did this time. During this project I learned how to commutate with team mates around the world, manage my time and keep organized. If you were ever unorganized or didn’t commutate with your team mates, you could easily get off track of where you are on your project and the whole point of the project.
