Building bridges for the future through collaborative projects

Hi, my name is Trees Lewis-Taylor. I live in the United States and go to school at Palisades High School, which is located in Pennsylvania. Our school is fairly small when compared to nearby schools, only having around 700 students. I get up around 6 and school starts at 7:40. By the time I get home it’s 3:30 which leaves me about 5 hours to do homework, chores, and enjoy myself. In my spare time I have many hobbies, which include skateboarding, reading, playing video games, parkour, and hanging out with my friends. Skateboarding is my favorite sport, and when it gets warmer I practice for 1-3 hours a day. My friends and I have even built a small park to skate in, with ramps and other obstacles. In the winter it gets too cold to be outside for a long time, so I generally spend time indoors unless it snows. This winter it hasn’t really snowed, but usually when it does we have giant snowball fights in the nearby park. My friends mostly go to school in New Jersey because I only enrolled in Palisades in the fall. Before that I did online cyber school, which was interesting, but ultimately didn’t work well for me. I find public school a much better fit, even though it uses up much more time. I think public school will prepare me for college much more effectively, which is important because I plan on majoring in aerospace engineering. I’m not sure exactly what I’m going to do after college, but I suppose I’ll figure it out when I get to that point. Overall I have a positive outlook on the future, and would rather work hard and do something with my life than take the easy way out. However I also think life is to be enjoyed, so work also has to be balanced with fun.

My school is really small too! We only have like, 650 students! But then again we are a private, international school in Bulgaria, so I suppose it's relative.
