Explain your topic. Include 1-2 items that were the most interesting to you about your topic.

1) I was in Group 2.B, and my topic was the World Wide Web. On our wiki page, we described the history of the World Wide Web and explained what it is. After that, we tried to focus on how the World Wide Web affects people's everyday lives today. For example, we talked about how it affects entertainment, the arts, and education. I think that the World Wide Web has affected almost every aspect of our lives because many people search the internet every single day. It has definitely affected education because now teachers use the internet in the classroom to help teach the kids with a more modern touch. Kids need to learn that future jobs are going to require computing skills.

The World Wide Web is a system of link documents that can be accessed through the internet. Using a Web browser, one can search the internet for text, images, and any other type of information needed. So, anytime you are on the internet, you are using the World Wide Web. The World Wide Web was created by Tim-Berners Lee in 1989, but was not released until 1992. To gain access to the World Wide Web, all a person has to do is type in the URL of a popular web browser. The World Wide Web takes that person straight to the website he was looking for. Today, Internet explorer and Mozilla Firefox are the two most used web browsers in the world. One interesting fact that I learned is that the internet and the World Wide Web are not the same thing. Many people get confused and think that they are the same thing, but technically they aren't.

In your opinion, what were the strengths and weaknesses of your wiki team. Did you have any problems or obstacles, and if so, what did you do to overcome the problems you experienced. Did your group adequately cite sources? Are you happy with your wiki? Why or why not?

2) I am very happy with the way our wiki page turned out, although there were a few problems that we had to work out. First of all, it was pretty difficult to do the wiki without any face to face contact. The discussion tab was very helpful, but because of the time changes, sometimes a discussion would take days to complete. Nevertheless, I think that our teamed worked well together. One of the weaknesses was finding an editor because not everybody would vote. Another weakness was the blank spots on the wiki that were there because people got confused and didn't understand which subtopic to sign up for. Yes, I think our group cited sources and made good hyperlinks. Other than those minor problems, our wiki page was great.

What was the outsourced video you created? Did you understand clearly what was asked of you? Did the video you made make it into the final video for the person you created it for? Why or why not? Include a hyperlink to the final video of the person that included your outsourced clip.

3) I created an outsourced video that had Jake and Jay pretending to buy medicine from Canada from the internet. I didn't understand clearly what was asked of me because the person I was making if for didn't give me a script. Because of this reason, my video was not exactly what she wanted and didn't make it into her final video. I didn't zoom in close enough to the computer or receipt because she didn't clearly describe what she wanted, so it didn't fit in with the rest of her video.
Outsourced Clip

What was the outsourced video you requested? Did you or did you not receive it? If you didn't receive it, why do you think you didn't? Did you use the outsourced clip(s) you received, why or why not? (please include a hyperlink to the student who created your outsourced video)

3B) I asked someone to state where they were from and then say what they do for fun where they live. I received it quickly because it was so easy to do. Yes, I used the clip I received because it was exactly what I needed. It fit perfectly into my video, so it was a great clip. Stanley from Goodland High did the video for me.

What was your initial idea and "pitch" to your teacher for your final video? Did you stay true to your initial concept? Why or why not? Critique your own video - what is the quality of video? If it is not acceptable, what could you have done to improve it? Critique your own audio? What could you have done to improve it? Name at least one thing you could have done to have a better movie. Finally, share the hyperlink to at least one other movie on the Flat Classroom project that you believe deserves recognition and state why.

4)My video was called Intel Cranium . Yes, I stayed true to my initial idea and "pitch" that I gave to Mrs. Vicki. My topic was innovation, invention, or prediction, so I chose to show a future invention. My invention was called the Intel cranium, which is a chip that can be inserted into someone's head, and it could give them all the answers. The quality of my video was not the best, but there was nothing that I could have done to fix it because it was the program that I used not the video. My audio is fine, and I was impressed with the special effects and music that my teacher helped me pick out. There were things I could have done to make my video better. The main thing that I could have done was make it longer and show a way that the chip could help the environment or help solve problems in our world today. I think that the chip and my video would have been more impressive if I had focused more on the world. Besides that, I was happy with my final video.
A video that I think is good and deserves recognition is Kayla's video called Social Networking. I think that her video is really good because it is hilarious, but it also tells about her topic. She describes what social networking is, and then she shows us a story that is very realistic today. I like how she explains her topic and makes the video funny and entertaining.
