Pre Project reflection
My name is Jerry swiatek. I am a World Geography teacher at Citrus High School in Inverness, FL. To give you some idea of where Inverness is, we are about an hour from Walt Disney World on the west coast of Florida near the Gulf of Mexico.
I am a huge sports fan. My favorite sport is hockey and my favorite team is the Buffalo Sabres in the NHL. I am also a big football fan although this year has been a tough one for me. I am a Buffalo Bills fan and our team is not very good. I'm originally from Buffalo, NY and let me tell you, it is tough being a sports fan from Buffalo.
This is my first time participating in the Flat Classroom Project. I am extremely excited that my students have this incredible opportunity to collaborate with students from around the world. All too often, we forget just how "small" the world is and we forget about the amazing opportunities to learn that technology provides to us.
This is going to be a great experience and I can't wait to really get started on it.
