Gesture-Based Computing is the use of common gestures to interact with technology. A gesture, as described by The Free Dictionary, is a motion of the body or of a limb to express or help express a thought. Dictionary.com says that "computing" is the use of a computer or technology to complete a task. Therefore, Gesture-Based Computing is the use of technology and gestures to express an action and complete a task. The subtopic of innovation can be described as a new idea or method by i.word.com which is related to the Webster Dictionary company. I found it interesting how rapidly growing gesture based computing is. It started basically with the Nintendo Wii which required a handheld controller and a receiver bar, now after not very many years, we have the Xbox Kinnect which requires no controller at all and a smaller receiver that plugs into the Xbox console.

My group on this project, honestly, didn't interact much. We edited the wiki as needed, but rarely spoke that I know of. Despite lack of communication, I find that our wiki sounds good. The wiki has a lot of useful information including information that I alone would not have been able to find.

My outsource video was to FloraW. She requested a video of someone either electronically or manually doing a survey. For this request I filmed a video of my self taking a survey on paper. However, my outsource video was not used in her final video ans it appears that all used videos were self made with help of teachers from her school and her peers. Here is her final video.

I requested a video of anyone playing a gesture based game such as Wii or Kinnect. I only received my request after reaching out to peers. This request seemed simple to me, however filming at home may have seemed hard to other people which is acceptable to me. DanielleS_AAHS is the one who finally made my outsource video.

In all honesty I had no clue what to do for my final video. I knew that I had friends to help make it great, so that is what I did. I had it as a dialogue between my friends and myself. I feel, that compared to my videos made at the start of the year, is acceptable. If I had fixed my video, I would have made it longer and fixed it by added more information into the video that now seems very boring. The audio on my video was a simple tune in the background and my friends talking. I feel that we recorded the videos at a fairly quiet time making the audio the least of my problems.

I feel that SadeB_AAHS deserves recognition because a part of my idea was from her video (THANKS!)
