I’m not entirely sure if I understand my topic, but the best i can make of it is this: Learning analytics
is the use of data of student knowledge to assess their progress and determine what needs to be done to improve their work and learning capability.
Learning analytics
is simply the applied use of carefully collected data to discover how to assist students in their learning experience. Seen
here is an
infographic
of the process.
Something from my topic that I found interesting was the way that it can help students better their educational experience and learn more efficiently. I believe it would be very helpful if it were used more in our own school and other schools all over the world. It would help student learn more efficiently in day to day life.
The wiki editing portion of the project was not a very strong piece of the project. It was difficult to keep in touch with my group members and they never responded to my attempts to contact them. Communication was really the main key issue in this particular project. I was not really able to get around these problems because my group members never responded to me. I believe my group cited their sources correctly. I suppose that I am happy about our wiki as it is informative enough to successful and meet the demands presented during this project.
I created an outsourced video for a student in which myself and some other students pretending to be injured. He did not use it in his final video, in fact he did not make a final video at all. I can only assume that he failed this portion of the project, but I fulfilled my objective.
I requested a video of a person playing an educational game, first being confused and then understanding it. After an extended period of time in which nobody fulfilled my request I had one of my classmates do it. I did end up using the outsource clip I finally received because the fit very well with my topic. The student who provided my video was
