Flat Classroom Project
Communicating with team members
We used the website “Flat Classroom Project” to do the assessment task. It links to Ning and Wiki page. We used “Flat Classroom Project” communicating with team member and mail to from the teacher. If any news, teacher would send us an e-mail. We became a member on Ning and Wiki, and then added our partners and communicating in the blog each other.
Ning
I signed up and became a member on Ning and adding my partners as a friend in a group. We are discussing the assessment in Ning Blog. Also, we can watch other people’s video as an example. We used the quick link from Ning and collecting the website we needed. We were to post a lengthy introduction about ourselves and published to the Ning page. After I finished my outsourced video about writing a blog on Facebook and the multi-media artifact, I uploaded the both video to the Ning.
Wiki
On the wiki page, it showed what we needed to do and we were following the steps to do our works. We needed to hand in our works and posted it on wiki page on time. We needed to do a research, respond to question and published to our team’s wiki page. We went to the website and searched a story background about World Wide Web; we found the definition of World Wide Web and wrote it by our own. We needed to use notepad. We copied the sentences, then pasted on it and converted into the correct format. After that, we found a picture about World Wide Web and added the material to the Wiki page. We posted on the background of the wiki page. Next, we chose Arts, Entertainment and Leisure for our topic. We drew a plan of the topic and defined the effect in Arts, Entertainment and Leisure.
Multi-media video
I needed to do my own video about how World Wile Web effect entertainment. I drew the camera angle on the paper and ready for taking the video. Since my English speaking was not very well, Tony helped me for the speaking part. We went out an idea of doing an interview. After that, we took the angle correctly and got it done. Next, I input the video to the computer. I used windows movie maker to mix the video. I added the outsourced video which from the other person did for me, I added it to the end of my own video. Finally, I uploaded the video to the Ning.
Team work
I worked with Tony Liong as a team since my English is not really well. Tony explained to me when I got a problem. I did the easier work like wrote the mind map about how the World Wide Web improve entertainment while Tony is working on the video about Arts. We helped each other when we were making the video. I helped him to hold the camera and he helped me to do the interview.
Email to from the teacher
Our IPT teacher always sent us an e-mail and reminds us the things we need to do. If we had any problems, we can e-mail back to the teacher.
RSS feeds and discussion tab
We didn’t use RSS feeds and discussion tab.
Improvement
I think the thing need to improve was the Wiki page, when we need to upload our work to the wiki page, we just can be one person editing at the time. If they edit the page at the same time, it didn’t work. In my video, I can make it better, but I didn’t have enough time. I just mixed two video together. I hope I can do it better next time.
